The puppies visited the vet today for their first round of puppy shots and health check. Two of the males were found to have one "high flank cryptorchid". ( Retained Testicle) This condition usually corrects itself. If the testicle hasn't dropped by 5 months old the puppy simply needs to be neutered to solve the problem. One place for additional information on this subject can be found here: http://www.dogchannel.com/import2/article_3775.aspx
The puppies just completed their second round of de-worming with Panacur.
I put a couple of bowls in the whelping box today with moistened chow and water in them. It will be no time before they start nibbling at the chow and drinking water.
Today was day three for the deworming treatment. The treatment calls for 1cc of Paracur daily; for 3 days. The puppies will receive two more series of treatments, at 5 weeks and 7 seven weeks old.
Skeeter and her new litter visited the vet today. Health check for Skeeter and dewclaws remove for the puppies. Everyone is doing great!
